Sea Star Cookie Decorating – 18 – 20 December
The best activities are the ones you can eat! Take the kids along to the sea star cookie decorating workshop at AQWA and share what you make with the family this Christmas. The event is free with general admission entry. Grab your tickets and book here.
Santa Meet and Greet – 22 – 23 December
Snap a photo with Santa Clause when he makes a pit stop right before the big day! Between 12.00pm – 1.00pm, kids will have the chance to meet the big fella in person.
Mermaids & Pirate are coming to AQWA – 2 – 9 January
Mer-jestic Mermaids will be back in the warm waters of AQWA this January. See the mermaids swimming in Adventure Bay while getting your mermaid makeup done. Pirate Pete and his antics are sure to get a giggle out of kids of all ages.
Toddler Messy Moments – 14 – 18 January
Parents can take a break while the team at AQWA takes care of the mess. This messy sensory play has been designed to engage a toddler’s curiosity, social interaction, cognitive growth and limitless opportunities to learn. Toddlers get in free! Book online here.
Marine Scientist for a Day – 21 – 25 January
This new 3-hour workshop, designed for children aged 6-12 years, is perfect for those passionate about marine animals and ocean conservation. Kids can step into the shoes of a Marine Scientist and develop a wonder and respect for the underwater world and it’s creatures. The tour includes lunch, animal feeding, glass bottom boat adventure, slime and more. Find out more about the experience here.
AQWA is not just an aquarium. It’s a hub for underwater exploration and learning, offering a range of adventure programs to suit every personality. Thrill seekers can jump in the shark tank, curious visitors can take a leisurely behind-the-scenes tour and kids can enjoy, swimming with mermaids or learn to dive and snorkel. Catch over 20 free talks throughout the day led by expert scientists and volunteers.
At AQWA, you’ll come face-to-fin with giant sharks, stingrays and turtles in Australia’s largest walk-through aquarium and be captivated by the colourful world of a living coral reef. Encounter the ocean’s most dangerous and deadly in the DANGERzone and rediscover the wonder of the underwater world at the touch pool. Theres even a 100-metre moving walkway, the longest in Australia, that transport you through an underwater tunnel. Enjoy a coffee, snack or lunch and free WiFi in AQWA’s Café or relax on one of the outdoor terraces.
For a truly memorable aquarium experience, plunge into AQWA’s shipwreck coast tank and take an underwater tour of Australia’s largest single tank aquarium. Led by an expert diver, you’ll swim with 7 different species of shark, loggerhead turtles, the world’s largest stingrays and schools of WA’s most prized and precious fish, such as dhufish, pink snapper, kingfish, trevally and more. The experience includes:
