Savour the spring sun this weekend at the family-friendly Crows Nest Festival in North Sydney. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the annual celebration, which kicks off at 10am on Sunday October 20th and winds down at 5pm.
Leave your car and wander in on foot to the Crows Nest shopping precinct. More than 200 stall holders, four stages and kids’ rides will sprawl along Willoughby Road and its cross streets.
Jump on the back of a dinosaur for a Dino Ride or stick to pony rides and the petting zoo. Get bouncy on inflatable rides, disguise yourself with face painting and go creative with the kids-only Sand Art. Work your way through the amazing entertainment schedule across the Cooking Stage, Acoustic Stage, Dance Stage and Band Stage which will feature local schools.
Lena and Carl Boumerhi from Channel 10’s ‘Family Food Fight’ will be battling it out at 1pm on the Cooking Stage. The entertainment stages will play host to Kamahl and the Big Music Bandits.
Tick off the Christmas shopping at the craft and merchandise stalls. Afterwards, when your mouths start watering, wander over to Burlington Street. It will transform into Food Alley for the day, packed with pizza and pasta from Fratelli Fresh, Bravo gelato, Pasalubongs Filipino Soul Food, Tarboosh Lebanese and a delicious lamb on a spit from Xenos.
Enjoy the novelty of your local neighbourhood transformed into a laidback, sunny Sunday afternoon. We can guarantee you’ll be back again for next year’s Crows Nest Festival!
