[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A nine-year-old boy who dreams of becoming a pilot has scored an upgrade to business class with an adorable note sent to Australian airline Jetstar.
Jasper Francis sent the note, in a decorated envelope to Jetstar to ask for a possible upgrade on his upcoming flight to Bangkok.
In the note he writes:
“I’m just wondering whether kids are allowed to fly business class by themself? I am saving my pocket money to get an upgrade on our flight MEL-BKK on your Boeing 787 Dreamliner. So far I have saved $85, how much more do I need to save? Yours sincerely, Jasper.”
The polite note touched the hearts of Jetstar staff who pooled together the $50 gift vouchers they each received at Christmas to Jasper’s dream come true. The donations will allow him and his dad to be upgraded to business class on their flight to Bangkok in June. Kids are not allowed to fly on their own in business class.
On the weekend, Jetstar went one step further and invited the young aviation enthusiast and his family to tour one of Jetstar’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners where he met the crew and was allowed to sit in the cockpit.
Jasper’s mum Anna Francis told Channel 9: “Jasper’s always wanted to travel business class, and every time we go to an airport he’ll go up to the reservation desk and ask them if he can be upgraded to business class.”
