During term 2 2020, school students can tune in to weekly educational ‘Discovery Sessions’ from Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane.
Their curriculum-linked Discovery Sessions are based on programs usually offered to onsite excursions. They are a great tool for parents or teachers to ensure students hit key learning points during this difficult time.
The programs allow students to follow along with one of Lone Pine’s Education Officers as they dive into the wonderful world of wildlife.
Each week, a new video series will be released on their Facebook page and YouTube channel. The videos will also include an accompanying “At Home Challenge” to keep the wildlife connection going.
Each program will be wrapped up with a live-stream Q&A session with the Education Officer, allowing parents and students to ask questions.
The first program, ‘Backyard Explorers’, is available now
