[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Qatar Airways has announced the launch of its Oryx Kids Club Children’s Programme starting July 1 2018.
The airline, named Skytrax World Airline Awards’ Airline of the Year in 2017, has turned up the kid-friendly factor to make long-haul flights easier for families.
On board, families will receive special plush toys and kids’ activity packs to help those long hours fly by. Meal times are made special with meal boxes featuring the superheroes from the Oryx Kids Club.
On extra-long flights, you might be lucky enough to meet the Oryx superheroes, including Kamil the camel, Faaiz the falcon, Farrah the desert fox and Orry and Orah the oryx.
The initiative is part of Qatar’s endeavour to reduce the stress of flying as a family. Qatar Airways Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications Ms. Salam Al Shawa says that the airline wants “to ensure that our youngest travellers are entertained from the moment they board the aircraft.”
Kids can also keep occupied with the children’s channels on the Oryx One in-flight entertainment system. Oryx One features Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and the latest family film releases.
The Oryx Kids Club on-board programme will be available on long-haul flights from July 1, and on short- and medium-haul flights from September 1.
Keep your eyes peeled, because Qatar is soon to release their Oryx Kids Club Loyalty Programme qualifying kids aged 2 to 11 to earn Qmiles and Qpoints and added benefits.
