Riverside Theatre Parramatta will transform into a kid-friendly wonderland of music, dance and theatre this October long weekend. The Spot On Children’s Festival offers a line-up of exciting events for babies to 18 year olds. So get your imaginations bursting!
Tiny tots can attend Lullaby: Sonic Cradle, a multimedia music experience inspired by Indian lullabies for ages 0 and up. Giggle at the slapstick absurdity of Trash Test Dummies, or the puppet madness of Troll, a one-man show for 8 year olds from New Zealand. Get in on the action with the Roald Dahl Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts workshop. Actors will coach 6 to 10 year olds in performances of their own. Teenagers can also develop short horror and scary films at specialised Haunted House workshops.
Running from 1st to 5th October, the Spot On Children’s Festival also includes a suite of free activities such as face painting, a library tent and arts and craft. Attend the Avocado Smash Concert for 2 to 7 year olds with plenty of bopping and languages from around the world.
This is the eighth annual Spot On Children’s Festival at Riverside Theatre Parramatta.
