Here are the best Fiji activities that you can do with kids for less than $20.
Hop on the bus
Take the bus from Nadi to Suva for only $11 to see the beautiful Coral Coast. This route will take you through the ‘salad bowl of Fiji’ where you can purchase fresh local produce from market vendors along the highway.
Be in two places at once
Take a bus ride to the 180-degree Meridian International Date Line on the island of Tavenui. In the village of Waiyevo, there is a dedicated spot for visitors to put one foot in yesterday and the other in today.
Horse riding on the beach
For $10 you can ride a horse along one of the best beaches in the world. Head to Natadola Bay, a picturesque spot on the Coral Coast, and take in the serenity riding your horse along the long stretch of white sandy beach.
Support a local team
If you’re visiting over the weekend, make sure you catch a local rugby game.Rugby is Fiji’s national game, played by people of all ages and levels.The popular sport runs deep in Fiji’s veins with about 10% of the total population who play. Wherever you go, you’ll find a rugby field or paddock filled with locals playing in true flamboyant Fijian style. Entry fee is about $3.

Visit the sand dunes of Fiji
If you love a nature walk, head to theSigatoka Sand Dunes National Park, Fiji’s first National Park established in 1987. Sand dunes in Fiji, who knew?! Learn about the rich archaeological history of the region and take in the views of the Sigatoka River. The park is open daily from 8am to 5pm and visitors can choose from the 1 or 2 hours walk to explore this unique ecosystem. Entry fee is $10 for adults and $3 for children under 6.
Feel fresh with a Niu
Drink fresh coconut juice for only $2! It’s easy to find one, just keep an eye out for stalls along the highway or at local markets.
A bit of Bula, a bit of Ciao!

Go chasing waterfalls
Take a $10 bus ride from Nadi Airport to the ancient rainforests of the Bouma National Heritage Park, Taveuni. Established in 1990, the park contains four villages each with their own eco-attraction. Expect to see rare birds and plants and plenty of waterfalls including the spectacular Tavoro Waterfall Trail.
Local Kava
OK, so this one is just fir the adults – but the kids can watch. They will love your face. You can taste test the famous Fijian drink, Kava, at a local market for less than $2 a bowl.
