Learn to surf

Gerringong Surf school runs kids school holidays surf and skate camps. The three-day camps are $150 and run daily from 9-12 or 1-4. Little groms can practice town-in surfing, and switching their stance on firm ground before they hit the water. The surf school provides all the gear, you just need to turn up.

Play Foot Golf
Foot Golf is a combination of Golf and soccer. To win, you need to complete the round with the least amount of kicks. The game is played on a golf course with specially modified 53cm holes. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Cow to cone icecream
Want an “udderly” delicious treat? Not many places can say they offer a “cow to cone” experience. At the Berry treat factory, the cows you see in the paddocks outside are the ones that are milked to produce their sweet fresh ice-cream.

Indulge your sweet tooth
Love a good flaky pastry? You will want to try Parfait Patisserie in Kiama. The line to buy their delicious sweet treats often snakes down the street. But trust us, it’s worth it. Just look at these goodies.

Fresh local market produce
Do not eat breakfast. Head straight for the Milton Produce market and grab a bacon and egg roll from Teresa Trattoria. This wonderful farmers’ market is open every Saturday at the Milton Showgrounds. The market has fresh locally grown veggies, flowers, bread, butter, pasture-raised beef and so much more.

Award-winning food

Rick Stein’s seaside restaurant at Bannisters in Mollymook has world-class food. Most people are surprised to find the downstairs area of this restaurant is relaxed and family-friendly. And the food is just as good as the fancy restaurant upstairs. Rick Stein’s Pool Bar has a range of Mediterranean-inspired snacks. Our tip – the garlic prawn pizza is the way to go for seafood lovers.

Art and coffee
Head to Mister Jones in Bermagui for fantastic hole-in-the-wall coffee and a stroll through the art gallery.

Chun sold the espresso business last year to focus on his art. Inside you will find wonderful portraits and landscape art. We highly recommend a visit with any kids studying art.
