Is your child the next Steve Irwin? Do they love hunting lizards? If so they need to enter this Sydney Zoo competition.
Sydney Zoo will open in Blacktown, Sydney in March 2019. It is enormous. It has to be vast to keep the animals happy. It will have about 30 exhibitions at one time, featuring a mix of native and non-native animals. In addition, it will also have a show arena, waterways, wetlands and gardens.
But the Zoo is still missing some animals and they need your help to find them.
The Sydney Zoo competition is looking for five Mini Zookeepers to deliver the animals to Western Sydney.
The winners receive an all-expenses-paid trip, for them and one adult, to help bring an animal to Sydney Zoo. The trip could be anywhere, from the vast deserts of Mongolia to the great pines of North America. That’s where its magic lies.
Can’t you imagine yourself looking for snowy owls or Komodo dragons? If you win the Sydney Zoo competition you won’t have to.
They will also win a family pass for a year, an exclusive VIP experience, and a ticket to the grand opening of Sydney Zoo in March 2019.
If you don’t win the grand prize, you could still win one of 10,000 free kids tickets to Sydney Zoo.
How you can win the Sydney Zoo Competition
First, follow the zoo on Instagram @thesydneyzoo upload a video of your ‘#minizookeeper’ talking about why they would be perfect for the job.
Don’t forget to tag the zoo and include the right hashtags in your post. If you don’t use Instagram you can apply online. If you include an animal in the video that would definitely help. The more exotic the better. Remember, however, that glueing a unicorn horn onto your Golden Labrador is unlikely to help your application.
Sydney Zoo is under construction at Rudders Lane, Bungarribee, opposite the Blacktown International Sports Park. The $35-50 million project will be a cage-free safari-like experience.
Passions can start at an early age; David Attenborough had already amassed a large collection of bird eggs and fossils by the time he was seven. The Sydney Zoo competition is not just a trip, it could be a life-defining moment. These chances do not come along often. There can surely be no better project to work on during the final week of school holidays than this.
