Today the Sultanate of Oman and the Royal Omani Police (ROP) announced that, effective 21 March 2018, visas will only be granted electronically via the URL: https://evisa.rop.gov.om
That’s great news for Aussie travellers as it means they no longer have to wait in long queues at the airport. The introduction of E-visas coincides with the opening of the new Muscat International Airport and is part of a push by Oman to attract more international tourists.
Australian applicants will need to register as a user before purchasing a single entry or multiple entry visa.
