The Virgin Australia disability support device ruling is a huge win for people travelling with a disability.

Virgin Australia will now allow some Approved Support Devices on board their flights. These devices are designed to provide additional postural support to infants and children.
From this week, families will be able to travel with the Carrot 3000 seat and The Firefly GoTo Seat.

We know this will be welcomed by many families with a child who simply cannot sit in an airline seat without appropriate support. It’s a fantastic move forward in making travel more accessible for many.
Remember you need to include this is in your booking so the airline is aware you are travelling with the seating.

Virgin Australia – Disability Assistant Concession Fare
If you are thinking about travelling domestically within Australia, don’t forget to see if you qualify for the Disability Assistant Concession Fare. The fare offers a 50 per cent discount (applied to the base fare) for an assistant’s airfare. Virgin Australia introduced the fare in recognition of the many travellers using the airline who require special assistance when travelling.
